Meet Stacy Y. Wells

Artist & Author

Stacy Wells has a divine gift of putting words and artwork together.  This divine collaboration is used to enhance the effect of one another.  Stacy has used her gift to help promote and inspire encouragement and healing, as well as be a mouthpiece for God.

She is a native and resident of Crewe, Virginia.  In 2006, Stacy joined Mt. Gilead Full Gospel International Ministries in Richmond, VA, under the leadership of Bishop Daniel Robertson, Jr., and Co-Pastor Elena Robertson.  She credits God for leading her there to meet the call for her destiny, which includes ministry, discipleship, and entrepreneurship.  At Mt. Gilead, she currently serves with the Media Ministry. Also, Stacy is a graduate of Healing, Love, Forgiveness Int’l Ministries School of Ministry, under the leadership of Pastors Gregory and Tracci Parham.

Stacy accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the early age of 9 ½, but in her teen years, she left her “First Love” (God) and went back into the world.  Later as an adult, she decided not to “ride the fence” any longer and got serious about her relationship with God.  Part of her story is reflected in two of the pieces of Soul Remedies (an upcoming book to be published) entitled “Make Over” and “A Bath”. God called her to establish a business, Kalos Artwork & Words, LLC, which offers original commissioned and non-commissioned artwork, graphic design services and written pieces. Destiny’s Edge: A Journey to Reclaim a Stolen Legacy is Ms. Wells’ first self-published novel.

The author dares to speak about and elaborate on issues which are sometimes hidden or glossed over in Christianity.  In her work, she believes in being transparent and letting folks know that this Christian walk is not always easy, but everyone has to take responsibility for their cross to bear.  Part of her mission is to encourage others (whether they are in the Church or not) to tap into their gifts and callings.  There are no “little and big gifts”, but all gifts come from God to be used to glorify Him.  We all can benefit in some way from one another’s gifts. She firmly believes that thru her yielding to God and the Holy Spirit her gift has been awakened and that the Holy Spirit really is a teacher and a revelator.

Her formal education includes earning an AAS Degree in General Studies, a BS Degree in Sociology with a Minor in Anthropology, and graduate work in an MSW Program with a Clinical Concentration.  In May 2023, Stacy earned an AAS Degree in Visual Arts, Major- Graphic Design.

Some of her artwork has been displayed and writings have been published in other authors’ works over the years.  There is power in connection.  Some writers and artists she admires are Maya Angelou, Nikki Giovanni, Bebe Moore Campbell, Annie Lee, Pamela A. Wakefield, Kevin A. Williams, and Stanley Rayfield, just to name a few.  One scripture which has clearly been evident in her life is Proverbs 18:16, “A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men.” (Amplified Bible) Selah.
